This is the sort of conversation you can hear at my house on a Friday night.
Me: "You are folding the towels wrong. Fold them in thirds the long way and then in thirds again."
Josh:" Give me a break."
A minute later.
Josh: "Just so you know, I like my underwear folded like the flag into a triangle."
He then proceeds to fold a pair like the flag.
Me: Cackles with laughter
At least he has a sense of humor when it comes to my bossiness.

Date night
Tonight is date night. We are going to see Indiana Jones and then out for dinner. I'm looking forward to the movie. I loved Indiana Jones as a child. Not to the extreme that Josh liked Indiana Jones (I never tried to bullwhip anyone). Plus I like Harrison Ford even if he is starting to show his age. I've managed to stay spoiler and review free, so I'm going in as a blank slate. Ethan will be playing with his cousins and then hanging out with Nana and Grumpa.

Music to my ears
Ethan started saying Mama yesterday when he is looking for me or sees me. It is so sweet and something I've been waiting for for 14 months. He'll say Mama and I'll say yes Ethan bear and then he starts to laugh. It is a great feeling to hear your name spoken.

Mother's day
I had a very nice, but full Mother's day yesterday. It started with Josh making waffles for breakfast. Very tasty. We then finished mulching the backyard. After that we went on a picnic with Josh's parents, brother, and sister and her family. We had a good time playing soccer, tossing the football around, playing at the playground, and lounging in the sun. Ethan was super cute chasing his older cousins and playing with his cousin who is close to his age. We then left the park for my parent's place where we had pizza and hung out for a bit. Josh and I collapsed into bed early. We have a lot to show for our weekend that's for sure. My compost bin is up and running, the garage is nearly cleaned out, the lawn is mowed and the flower beds are all mulched.
Look how much Ethan has changed in one year! He is looking more and more like a little boy and less like a baby every day!

Back to our regular scheduled programming ... sort of
Well, we are definetly on the mend. Josh and Ethan seem to have some lingering effects from the puking disease, but hopefully they will be a 100% by the end of the week. I feel like I've been living in some sort of alternate universe for the last 2 weeks and now I need to get caught up with chores and work.

Puking disease
We seem to have contracted a stomach virus from our stay in the hospital over the weekend. It started with Ethan vomiting on Monday. His pediatrician felt that his symptoms sounded like a stomach virus. By Tuesday night it was my turn and Wednesday morning Josh's. I couldn't even get out of bed at all on Wednesday. The good news is that Ethan seems to be recovered except for some diarrhea. Hopefully, Josh and I will be feeling better soon.
